Connaught Scientists!
Today the year 9 girls went to a STEM event at Sir George Monoux College. The girls got the opportunity to extract DNA from a kiwi fruit, make DNA bracelets and learn about careers in science. Some even got to do some coding! I hope today was fun and a bit different from learning in our own classroom.
Here are some snaps from today:)

Skittles science :O
The year 8's were learning about white light and how we see colour.
We thought that this skittles trick goes well with the topic and that it would be quite cool to do.
You can try it yourself at home!
Arrange skittles in a circle on a plate, slowly pour hot water in the center and vuala!
Have fun and let me know how it goes:)
BTW How do we see colour with our eyes? Can anyone explain?
